Purpose
The purpose of this Employee Smoking Policy is to ensure a safe, healthy, and respectful working environment for all employees by regulating smoking behaviors in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws. This policy is designed to promote employee wellness and reduce health risks associated with smoking and secondhand smoke exposure.
Scope
This policy applies to all employees, contractors, visitors, and vendors at all company-owned or leased facilities, including vehicles and remote work environments where others may be impacted.
Designated Smoking Areas
Smoking is permitted only in clearly marked designated smoking areas, which are located [insert locations, if applicable]. These areas are positioned away from main entrances, windows, and ventilation systems to prevent smoke from entering indoor spaces.

Employee Acknowledgment
All employees must sign the Employee Smoking Policy Acknowledgment Form upon hire and whenever the policy is updated. The signed form will be kept in the employee’s personnel file as confirmation of their understanding and agreement.
